The event will cover up-to-date information on legal issues facing seniors today, with Kaua'i attorney James Michael Ratcliffe as the featured speaker.

Among the topics that will be discussed are the following: the pros and cons of reverse mortgages; a step-by-step guide on how to protect yourself from identity theft; an analysis of new legal options that are available in response to the current identity theft crisis; and long-term care planning relative to reverse mortgages.

The cost to attend is $8 per person. Registration forms are available at the Seniors Law Program office located at 4375 Puaole Street in Lihu'e and at the Agency on Elderly Affairs in the Pi'ikoi Building at the Lihu'e Civic Center. Pre-registration is recommended.

The event is sponsored by the Seniors Law Program, with funding from the County of Kaua'i and the Older Americans Act - Title III through the state Executive Office on Aging.
