Hawaii street bikers to hold holiday 'Toy Run' parade

Advertiser Staff

Street Bikers United Hawaii, in conjunction with the Waimanalo Teen Project and Hawai'i-based Marines, will this week host the 33rd annual "SBU TOY RUN PARADE."

Thousands of donated toys from Hawai'i's motorcycle community and others collected during the parade will be given as Christmas gifts to children from economically challenged families.

About 5,000 motorcycles are expected to leave Magic Island at 11 a.m. Sunday and ride through Waikiki to Kapi'olani Community College, where Marines will be waiting with trucks to receive the gifts. The Salvation Army will distribute the gifts to the island children.

Tax-deductible cash donations to cover the cost of the parade are also being accepted by SBU Oahu Chapter President Rick Davis, Street Bikers United Hawaii, Inc., P.O. Box 5003, Kane'ohe, HI 96744.
