3 Maili home invasion robbery suspects at-large

Advertiser Staff

Police today arrested one man and are looking for three others in connection with an early morning home invasion robbery in Ma'ili.

No injuries were reported in the 1:43 a.m. robbery.

A 24-year-old man was arrested at One'ula Beach Park at 2:20 a.m. by police, who located the black Chevy sports utility vehicle used in the robbery. First-degree robbery charges are pending against the man, who listed no permanent address and has 11 prior convictions, according to Hawai'i Criminal Justice Data Center records.

Three others who fled from the vehicle as police approached were still at large tonight, police said.

Police said the four men wearing ski masks and T-shirts with "DEA" printed on them, forced their way into a home and threatened a man, 58, and woman, 28, at gunpoint. The men took cash, jewelry and other property.

Some of the stolen items have been recovered, police said.
