Heavy showers, thunderstorms forecast for Oahu, Kauai

Numerous heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected across Kaua'i and O'ahu today, with locally heavy showers possible elsewhere, according to the National Weather Service.
Light south to southeast winds will continue through the next several days along with unsettled weather and the threat of locally heavy rainfall, forecasters said.

Today, mostly cloudy. Numerous showers and isolated thunderstorms in the morning, then scattered showers and slight chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Locally heavy rainfall possible. Highs 78 to 83. Southeast winds around 10 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent.
Tonight, mostly cloudy with scattered showers. Locally heavy rainfall possible. Lows 68 to 73. East winds around 10 mph. Chance of rain 40 percent.
Thursday, partly sunny with isolated showers. Locally heavy rainfall possible. Highs around 80. East winds around 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
Thursday night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 68 to 73. Light winds. Chance of rain 20 percent.
Friday, mostly sunny in the morning then becoming partly sunny. Scattered showers. Highs 76 to 81. Light winds becoming west around 10 mph in the late morning and afternoon. Chance of rain 50 percent.
