Intruder attacks woman in Waialua home

Charges are pending against a 38-year-old man arrested today for allegedly breaking into a Waialua home and attempting to sexually assault a woman resident.The suspect was arrested at the scene by police responding to a neighbor's call of a woman screaming at 5:30 a.m.
Police said the victim, 49, was awakened by an intruder trying to assault her.
The man was arrested on suspicion of first-degree attempted sex assault, first-degree burglary and kidnapping.
