Hollywood news of 'TMZ' coming to KITV on Monday

By Wayne Harada
Advertiser Entertainment Writer

The pipeline to Hollywood will be just a click away on your TV remote when "TMZ" debuts on KITV-4, at 10:30 p.m. weekdays, beginning Monday, Dec. 3.

The entertainment news magazine, based on resources of http://www.TMZ.com, which Time magazine has named "one of the 25 sites we can't live without," will bring its Hollywood magnifying glass to the tube. The Web site is considered the No. 1 entertainment source for breaking news, particularly when celebs falter and stumble.

TMZ was the first to report Mel Gibson's DUI arrest and subsequent anti-Semitic tirade and was quick to document Michael Richards' racist diatribe at The Laugh Factory. The site also dominated coverage of Anna Nicole Smith's death and Paris Hilton's trek to the slammer — stuff of the tabloids reinterpreted for the TV viewership.
