MANOA
Law school film to probe homosexuality, families

Advertiser Staff

There will be a free showing of the film "For the Bible Tells Me So" tonight at the University of Hawai'i Richardson School of Law.

The film by TV and film producer Daniel Karslake focuses on devout Christians who learn their child is gay and how that affected their belief that homosexuality is prohibited in the Bible. The families featured include former U.S. House Majority Leader Richard Gephardt.

The film will be shown from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in Classroom 2 of the UH law school. Refreshments and discussion will follow until 8 p.m.

The showing is sponsored by the University of Hawai'i religion department and Richardson School of Law's Ulu Lehua Program.
