UH swimmer Berry earns WAC honors

University of Hawai'i sophomore Emma Berry was named Western Athletic Conference Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Week, today.

Berry, a transfer from Indiana, was the top performer for the Rainbow Wahine in two dual meet losses against Arizona State at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatics Complex. Berry captured first-place in five of the six individual events she competed in over the weekend, finishing first in the 1,000-meter freestyle (10:13:17), 500 freestyle (4:58.82), 400 individual medley (4:28.22), 800 freestyle (9:24.92), and 400 freestyle (4:32.67). She also placed fourth in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:12.37.
