Outrigger Aina Nalu has completed a multi-year, $30 million redevelopment at the Lahaina condominium resort in the heart of the historic Maui town.

With new interiors and an exterior renovation now complete, Outrigger Aina Nalu offers accommodations with a Hawaiian-inspired design.

"Our goal with Aina Nalu was to capture the spirit of an elegant Hawaiian oasis, coupled with Outrigger's exemplary service, to create a unique guest experience that celebrates the rich history and stunning natural beauty of the area," Tim Alex, director of sales and marketing for the Outrigger Condominium Collection, said in a press statement.

The nine-acre Outrigger Aina Nalu, set in a garden atmosphere, is a pleasant stroll from Lahaina's harbor and waterfront, near shopping and award-winning restaurants along Front Street.

A new porte cochere and open-air lobby features wooden furnishings and a native Hawaiian tapa design.

The low-rise, two-story plantation-style design includes water features and landscaped gardens.

All the 188 one- and two- bedroom condominium units were remodeled. Local designer Marion Philpotts of Philpotts & Associates created Aina Nalu's interiors,

The full kitchens feature stainless-steel appliances and granite countertops, while the bathrooms have natural stone walk-in showers, ceiling fans and tile flooring. High-speed Internet, air-conditioning and flat screen televisions are included.

The condo, the former Ohana Maui Islander, also features a new "tension-edge" pool and whirlpool spa, along with an open-air pool pavilion. Surrounding the pool are four thatched-roof cabanas with barbecue areas.

Rates start at $225 for one-bedroom condominiums, and $275 for two-bedroom condominiums.
