HUI NO'EAU VISUAL ARTS CENTER

Deborah Peterson, former campaign director of the Maui Arts and Cultural Center, has joined Maui's Hui No'eau Visual Arts Center as director of development. The center provides education and training in the visual arts for adults and children. While at Maui Arts and Cultural Center, the more than 20-year fundraising veteran surpassed goals by raising more than $17 million. She also guided the capital and endowment campaign start-up for Maui Family YMCA; has 13 years of developing start-up foundations at California community colleges, and was part of the development program of University of Hawai'i Foundation at Maui Community College. In 2005, Hui No'eau made news by successfully raising several million dollars to secure the historic Baldwin Family estate, Kaluanui, as the art center's permanent home.

PHILIPPINE NATIONAL BANK

Hermelo Y. Parot, former vice president and group sales manager for Philippine National Bank's 51 branches in the Visayas island group in the Philippines, has been named new general manager for its Honolulu office, newly relocated to 33 S. King St., Suite 109.

XEROX HAWAII

Xerox Hawaii has hired Dale Yasunaga as a marketing representative, covering Leeward O'ahu, from Wai'anae through Kahuku. He is a former sales specialist and Web site designer for Allied Communications, and a business services sales representative for CompUSA Inc. With more than 200 employees, Xerox Hawaii, headquartered in Honolulu, maintains offices, and sales and technical support teams, in Lihu'e, Kaua'i; Hilo and Kona, Big Island; and Kahului, Maui.
