Foundation offers quick HIV testing

Advertiser Staff

People worried about contracting AIDS now can take a free 20-minute test at the Life Foundation to see if they are HIV-positive.

The new tests, approved by state officials earlier this year, are one of the best ways for individuals who engage in at-risk behavior to find out quickly if they have contracted the disease.

Other methods of HIV testing require a one- to two-week wait for results, a gap that often results in about 25 percent of people not returning to get their test results, according to the Life Foundation.

For more information about the testing program, call the Life Foundation at 521-2437 or see www.lifefoundation.org.
