Hanapepe Bridge closing for repairs

The Hanapepe Bridge will be closed for several hours each day through tomorrow for repairs. Work will take place from 8 to 11 a.m.A wooden barrier will be temporarily placed on the eastern end of the bridge during this period as part of the county's training exercises for the Hanapepe Flood Control Project.
Implemented in 1960, the project is designed to prevent the Hanapepe River from flooding the town.
