Stronger trade winds making for choppy surf

Advertiser Staff

Strengthening trade winds will be producing short-period choppy surf along east-facing shores through midweek, the National Weather Service said. Small background surf is expected to continue along south-facing shores through the weekend, with the next small northwest swell expected Thursday.

Today, surf along north-facing shores will be decreasing to 3 to 5 feet feet while surf along east-facing shores will be 4 to 6 feet.

West and south shores will see surf 1 to 3 feet.
