St. Andrew's runners finish seventh at Stanford Invitational

The St. Andrew's and Kamehameha-Hawai'i girls cross country teams finished seventh and 10th, respectively, at the Stanford Invitational Saturday in Palo Alto, Calif.

St. Andrew's Amanda Tamanaha finished the 5-kilometer Division 5 race in sixth with a time of 19 minutes, 52 seconds. The Pride totaled 195 points with runners Gina Galante (39th, 22:19), Nicole Peltzer (53rd, 23:10), Mei-Shan Sun (56th, 23:16), Emily Latimer (63rd, 23:48), Nikky Jordan (60th, 23:57) and Kelly Kanada (66th, 24:22).

Kamehameha-Hawai'i finished with 231 points behind Bronte Kaneakua (43rd, 22:28), Cerya Cruz (49th, 22:53), Megan Wery (50th, 22:56), Bryanna DeLima (51st, 22:57), Kirsten Davis (64th, 23:52) and Kaopua Sutton (85th, 24:40).

The Kamehameha-Hawai'i boys finished 15th in the Division 5 boys 5K race with 286 points. Warrior runners were Jordan Lerma (21st, 18:10), Mark Petner (53rd, 19:00), George Kekauoha (85th, 20:03), Nolan Wong (86th, 20:05), Isaiah Ikeda (89th, 20:09) and Jason Rhodes-Janto (92nd, 20:16).

In the 3K junior varsity races, Kamehameha-Hawai'i's girls finished 19th and the boys 24th.
