Shimabukuro to open for Jimmy Buffett

Jake Shimabukuro, the Island ukulele wizard, will be the opening act for Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band's concert at 7 p.m. today at the Waikiki Shell.Shimabukuro has had an ongoing relationship as Buffett's warm-up act on the Mainland since a previous gig together in Hawaii.
Since he's in town, Shimabukuro also will make a series of in-store appearances:
i At 11 a.m. Saturday, at the Don Quijote store on Kaheka Street.
i At noon Sunday, at Sam's Club at Pearl Highlands.
i At 7 p.m. Tuesday, at the Wal-Mart on Keeaumoku Street.
