HAWAI'I COMMUNITY FEDERAL CREDIT UNION
The Big Island's Hawai'i Community Federal Credit Union has promoted Arnold Kanai to vice president, support services.
Kanai will manage administrative and support service activities; supervise electronic services, compliance, security and facilities management; conduct analyses of business trends and existing performance indicators; and make strategic direction recommendations, including target growth goals. He was hired as support services manager in 2006, following serving as branch manager for Central Pacific Bank (previously City Bank) in Kailua, Kona. The finance veteran with more than 20 years experience has also held various manager positions at other Big Island financial institutions, including Finance Factors Ltd., Norwest Financial Hawai'i Inc. and American Savings Bank. HCFCU, with 34,000 members, maintains branches in Kailua, Kona; Kaloko; Kealakekua; Kohala; and Pa'auhau; and sponsors student credit unions at Kealakehe, Kohala and Konawaena high schools.

HAWAI'I EMPLOYERS COUNCIL
Carmen l. Osborne has joined the Hawai'i Employers Council as a human resources consultant. The 12-year HR veteran previously was with Kaiser Permanente and Central Pacific Bank. Founded in 1943 to promote positive employer-employee relations, the council provides professional services to management in human resources and labor relations, employment law, research and management development.
