Halekulani to host 'Lion King Cabaret'

A "Lion King Cabaret Show," featuring cast members from Disney's "The Lion King" now playing at Blaisdell Concert Hall, will be held at 7 p.m. Oct. 22 at the Halekulani hotel.

The evening will be a benefit for "Destination: Groove Dance Hawaii," a local dance competition reality show now airing locally on KHNL-8 and K-5.

Jordan Segundo, a co-host of "Destination," will appear, along with dancers on the TV program.

Participating "Lion King" performers have not been named, but it has become a theater tradition for cast members to present periodic benefits in communities on tour on their dark night, Monday.

"Lion King" theme will prevail, with martinis created by the Halekulani to reflect the show's theme.

A silent auction of "Lion King" items will be among the activities.

A range of prices prevails for tickets:

i Individual: $100, open seating.

i VIP reserved seating, $200 (prime front row, wine at table).

i Cabaret Cocktail Rounds — table of two, $400; table of four, $800; table of six, $1,200; table of eight, $1,500.
