Mayor signs rezoning, planning bills into law

Mayor Mufi Hannemann has signed four bills into law yesterday.

Bill 52, C.D. 2, amends Chapter 4, Article 8, Revised Ordinances of Honolulu 1990, to clarify the role of the Department of Planning and Permitting in reviewing City Council-proposed revisions to the maps and the types of public infrastructure projects to be shown on the public infrastructure map.

Bill 54 rezones land situated approximately 150 feet easterly of the intersection of Makaha Valley Road and Farrington Highway from the Country District to R-5 Residential District.

Bill 55, C.D. 1, rezones land at the intersection of Ukee Street and Ka Uka Boulevard in Waipio from I-2 Intensive Industrial District to IMX-1 Industrial-Commercial Mixed Use District with a 40-foot height limit.

Bill 56, C.D. 2, amends Section 1-8.2, Revised Ordinances of Honolulu 1990, to modify the approval process for certain intergovernmental agreements.
