First Fashion Friday finale tonight at Aloha Tower

Advertiser Staff

The Aloha Tower Marketplace First Fashion Friday event series for 2007 is going out with a grand finale, before the Marketplace starts preparing for the holiday season.

On at 6 p.m. today in the Center Atrium, the public is invited to view a fashion show featuring the hottest looks from Aloha Tower Marketplace's many stores. The FREE event will feature gifts from CMC MediSpa and Dr. Russell Matsunaga; prize giveaways from Aloha Tower Marketplace; fashion tips from Hawaii InStyle TV's creator/executive producer Julie Aragaki; and more.

There will be two VIP parties.

One will be at Honolua Surf Co. store featuring a live DJ, refreshments, in store specials, and goodie bags to the first 75 people that come through the door (on the guest list). Representatives from various surf clothing companies such as Lucy Love, Billabong girl, Reef girls and Nixon will be on hand to talk to the guests from 7:30 to 9 p.m. The clothing company reps will also show a sneak peak of the Holiday and spring line.

Honolua Surf Co. will then continue the after-party at Chais's Island Bistro from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. There will be entertainment by DJs G-Spot, IKON, Quiksilva and Gabi. Proceeds from the event will go to benefit the Hawaii Missing Kids television special. To get on the guest list to these events, call 566-2337 or email info@alohatower.com with the subject line "FFF RSVP."

In addition, the winner of a Marketplace makeover contest will be unveiled at the finale program. The winner was treated to a one-on-one style session with Hawaii InStyle TV's Julie Aragaki, an ultrasound facial by CMC MediSpa, a cosmetic dental consultation with Dr. Masunaga; hair and makeup by Alison Hayashi from Kiss and Makeup and gift certificates from participating stores.

In the last several months, fashion-forward stores have migrated to Aloha Tower Marketplace: Nicky Shoes, Precious Boutique, Island Style Attitudes, Remix by Trend Fusion, and Ang Namsilk. Existing stores like Pipe Dreams and Crazy Fish have expanded to meet the growing demand for fabulous work-to-play pieces. In addition, Hawaii Athletic Club has opened its doors.
