Stabbing victim upgraded to stable condition

A 42-year-old man who was stabbed outside the Ke'eaumoku Street Wal-Mart early this morning was taken by paramedics to The Queen's Medical Center in critical condition but has since been upgraded to stable condition, said Bryan Cheplic, spokesman for the city's emergency services department.

Witness told police that the man's attacker then ran mauka on Ke'eaumoku Street.

He was reported to be wearing a black T-shirt and blue denim shorts.

The incident was reported at 3:56 a.m.
