'First Friday' starts tonight

The Wailuku Community Association will host its inaugural "Hawaiian Nights — First Friday" from 5 to 7:30 p.m. today.

Free maps will be distributed to provide a guide to the "Art & Fun Walk" and other activities taking place on Market, Main and Vineyard streets. Merchants will be offering discounts, and the entertainment includes appearances by Pekelo Cosma at Kamaaina Properties, Jocelyn Romero-Demirbag at Main Street Bistro, and Richard Ho'opi'i at Banyan Tree Park. After-hours music will continue at Unisan, Cafe Marc Aurel and Requests Music.

Ho'opi'i and Ahumanu will perform at 7:30 p.m. at Iao Theater; tickets are $20.
