TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"The Naked Brothers Band: Battle of the Bands," 5 p.m., Nickelodeon. There's a loose charm to this show that transcends any flaws in plot and story. Nat and Alex Wolff are brothers, ages 12 and 9, portraying brothers in a rock band. Their dad (musician Michael Wolff) plays their goofy dad; their mom (Polly Draper) directs. Viewers know that Nat has a thing for band mate Rosalina, but won't admit it. Now comes a manipulative rocker who insults Nat and woos Rosalina. At times, the plot twists are way too convenient. Still, performances are neatly underplayed; the Wolff boys manage to mix humor and sensitivity.

"Saturday Night Live," 10:30 p.m., NBC. Last week, this show took a chance on a nonactor (LeBron James) and had some fun moments. This time, it has actor-writer Seth Rogen ("Knocked Up"), with music by Spoon.

OF NOTE

"Rip and Renew" (9:30 a.m.) and "Hammer Heads" (10:30 a.m.), HGTV. Two shows debut, for people ready to do their own home remodeling.

Football, 2 p.m., ABC and CBS. Some networks are luckier than others. CBS has Louisiana State, newly elevated to No. 1 in the Associated Press poll, hosting Florida, ranked No. 9. ABC? It has UCLA hosting Notre Dame, which has lost all five games and stirred no enthusiasm in the polls.

"Leave It to Beaver," 5 p.m., TV Land. Thursday marked the 50th anniversary of this sort-of pleasant comedy. Now a 24-hour marathon begins.

"Heroes" (7 p.m.) and "Bionic Woman" (8 p.m.), both NBC. Here are quick reruns. In "Heroes," Claire has little luck being unnoticed in her new town. In "Bionic Woman," Isaiah Washington starts his arc of episodes as a stranger who works for the corporation.

"Law & Order: Special Victims Unit," 9 p.m., NBC. When a woman is missing, police seek clues in her role-playing game.
