Maunalani Heights man, 88, charged with cane attack

An 88-year-old man was charged Friday with striking his wife with a walking cane at their Maunalani Heights home in East Honolulu.Wallace P. Yee's initial appearance was set for Tuesday in District Court. He is charged with second-degree assault, and bail is $25,000.
Yee's wife allegedly was struck several times in the head and once on a thigh. The alleged attack was reported to police at 12:01 a.m. Thursday.
