More sun than rain in the forecast for today

The trade winds will continue to blow at a moderate level throughout today and will start to slacken a bit starting tomorrow when a high pressure area north of the state begins to weaken, according to the National Weather Service.

Clouds and showers will favor the windward and mauka areas with a few showers drifting over leeward areas at times, especially at night.

Here's a closer look at the new few days:

Today, partly sunny with isolated showers. Highs 79 to 85. East winds 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tonight, mostly cloudy with scattered showers. Lows 67 to 79. Northeast winds 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.

Columbus Day, mostly sunny with isolated showers. Highs 78 to 85. East winds 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Monday night, mostly clear with isolated showers. Lows 67 to 79. Northeast winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tuesday, mostly sunny with isolated showers. Highs 78 to 85. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
