Ramos KOs Gracie in mixed martial arts event

Ramos defeated Gracie by knockout, 2 minutes, 44 seconds into the first round of the bout between 175-pound fighters.
Ramos dropped Gracie with a left-right combination. The finishing blow was a right hook.
Ramos, who trains at the Eastsidaz Gym in Kane'ohe, improved to 2-0; Gracie, who is the son of Brazilian jiu-jitsu master Relson Gracie, dropped to 0-2.
In the semi-main event, Shane Nelson of Hilo defeated Harris Sarmiento from Kalihi by unanimous decision in a lightweight (155 pounds) bout.
Nelson, who trains at Nova Uniao on the Big Island, improved to 8-3. Sarmiento, who trains at the 808 Fight Factory in Waipahu, dropped to 21-17.
The 14-bout card featured some of Hawaii's top up-and-coming MMA competitors, hoping to get invited to larger shows on the mainland.
