Warriors tops in scoring offense in NCAA statistics

Hawai'i leads the nation in scoring offense with 53.8 points per game in the NCAA Bowl Subdivision (Division I-A) statistics released today. Texas Tech is No. 2 with 52.5.

The Warriors (6-0) defeated Utah State, 52-37, Saturday.

Kaua'i native Jordon Dizon, a linebacker with Colorado, leads the nation in tackles with 13 per game. UH's Solomon Elimimian, who had 20 tackles against Utah State, is No. 3 with 12.17 per game.

The Warriors are No. 6 in total offense with 528.2 yards per game. Texas Tech leads with 590.2. UH is second (513.0 ypg) to Texas Tech (451.0) in passing offense.

UH is first in the NCAA statistics in kickoff returns with a 30.1-yard average. Purdue is no. 2 with 29.9.

Hawai'i quarterback Colt Brennan is No. 4 in total offense with 377.8 yards per game. Graham Harrell of Texas Tech leads with 450.2 yards per game.

Brennan completed 19 of 25 passes for 219 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions on Saturday before leaving early in the second half after reaggravating an ankle injury.

Brennan is No. 6 in passing effiency with a 168.2 rating. Sam Bradford of Oklahoma leads with 187.0.

Harrell is tops in passing yards with 2,726. Brennan is fourth with 1,850.

Jason Rivers is UH's top receiver, ranking No.15 in yards per game with 97.40. Michael Crabtree of Texas Tech is tops with 179.00 yards per game. UH's Ryan Grice-Mullins is No. 16 with 97.00 yards per game.
