Advertiser Staff

Prosecutors yesterday charged a Kailua woman with second-degree forgery for allegedly trying to cash a stolen check for $500 at a Kane'ohe-area bank.

Yolanda L. P. Leong, 25, was arrested Thursday on Kawa Street. The check allegedly was stolen from a vehicle earlier this month, police said.

Leong's bail is $11,000. She is also being held on three outstanding warrants totalling $1,575.
