Choppy surf along east shores subsiding; swells coming

Advertiser Staff

The rough and choppy surf along east shores is expected to gradually subside through midweek as trade winds decrease, the National Weather Service said, but surf will remain 4 feet to 6 feet today.

A south swell arriving on Tuesday is expected to produce moderate surf heights along south-facing shores late Wednesday and Thursday. This south swell will slowly subside Friday. Small north swells are expected from Wednesday through Friday.

Elsewhere today, surf along north and west shores will be 2 feet or less while south shore surf will be 1 foot to 3 feet.
