University of Hawai'i linebacker Solomon Elimimian was named Western Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced today.

Elimimian had 20 tackles, including six solo, in Saturday's 52-37 victory over Utah State at Aloha Stadium.

Although the Warriors allowed 37 points, 10 came late in the game, and another touchdown was scored on a kickoff return.
