Pupukea man charged with attempted murder

A 23-year-old Pupukea man charged with second-degree attempted murder made his initial appearance today at District Court.

Kawena Bernard Harbottle is accused of stabbing a 30-year-old woman in the neck Saturday morning during an argument at his Pupukea residence.

Harbottle, a felon with five prior convictions, is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail pending a preliminary hearing later this week. He is also being held on three outstanding warrants totaling $1,300.
