About 25 students representing Moanalua High School's class of '09 are expected to participate in an Adopt-a-Stream project Saturday. The clean-up, at and around the drainage ditch in front of Salt Lake Elementary School, is part of an ongoing project with the city.

The project includes weeding the area, sweeping up leaves and sediment in the drainage channel, clearing weep holes and removing litter.

The class of 2009 also cleaned the area and planted native vegetation in May.
