Waimanalo man was victim of electrocution

Advertiser Staff

A truck driver electrocuted in an apparent industrial accident Saturday in Wai'anae was identified yesterday by the Honolulu Medical Examiner's Office as Aaron Pedro, 33, of Waimanalo.

Pedro was dumping a load of coral rock on Puhawai Street from a semitrailer truck when a section of the vehicle apparently hit high-powered electrical wiring on a utility pole, knocking some wires to the ground.

Pedro appears to have stepped on live wires.

Police have classified the case as an unattended death pending an autopsy today.
