Warriors beat Lakers with last-second shot

Troy Hudson hit a shot from the top of the key with less than 1 second to play to lift the Golden State Warriors to a 111-110 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night in the teams' preseason opener.The Lakers' ensuing inbound pass was deflected by Golden State's Austin Croshere.
Kelenna Azubuike scored 27 points on 9-for-16 shooting from the field and 7-for-11 from the free-throw line for the Warriors. Hudson finished with 15 points and Baron Davis added 11.
Vladimir Radmanovic had 20 points to lead Los Angeles. Rookie Javaris Crittendon scored 18 points in his Lakers debut, Kobe Bryant had 17 and Sasha Vujacic 15.
The Warriors led by as many as 27 points, but Los Angeles rallied to take the lead with under 7 minutes to play on an alley-oop from Crittenton to Andrew Bynum to make it 95-93.
There were six lead changes from that point until Hudson's winning shot following a timeout.
Golden State led 41-20 after one quarter as Los Angeles was scoreless for a stretch of 6:04 spanning the end of the first and start of second quarter.
Bryant scored all of his points after the 6:09 mark in the third quarter.
Luke Walton, Kwame Brown and Lamar Odom did not play because of injuries for the Lakers.
Warriors guard Monta Ellis, the league's most improved player last season, sat out because of a sprained neck he sustained in practice last week.
The teams meet again Thursday.
