Homeless concerns top Waikiki board's agenda

Advertiser Staff

The Waikiki Neighborhood Board will devote much of its monthly meeting tonight to homeless issues in the community.

Speakers will include Karl Kim, a University of Hawai'i professor who conducted a survey last year on homelessness in Waikiki, and Darlene Hein, executive director of the Waikiki Care-a-Van project, which distributes supplies to the homeless.

The meeting starts at 7 p.m. at the Waikiki Community Center, 310 Paoakalani Ave.
