Hawai'i stock index rises, led by Hoku Scientific

The Bloomberg-Honolulu Advertiser Hawai'i Index rose as shares of Hoku Scientific climbed 10 percent.The 11-member stock index increased 0.92 points to 103.74, led by Hoku, which announced an engineering and design services agreement for a Pocatello, Idaho polysilicon plant it is building.
Hoku shares jumped 91 cents to $9.96. Alexander & Baldwin shares were also among gainers, rising 66 cents to $53.98.
