Big Island police arrest 21 for DUI

Big Island police arrested 21 motorists for drunk driving last week, seven who were involved in traffic crashes and three who were under the age of 21.So far this year, there have been 1,019 DUI arrests compared 968 during the same period last year, an increase of 5 percent.
Big Island police said there have been 1,610 major accidents so far this year compared with 1,936 during the same period last year, a decrease of 17 percent.
