Web site launched for Japanese woman presumed dead

Advertiser Staff

A Web site was launched today to help find the body of missing Japanese visitor Masumi Watanabe, who disappeared six months ago on O'ahu's North Shore and is presumed dead.

Former and current members of the Honolulu City Council stood outside Honolulu Hale today passing out fliers and bumper stickers advertising the Web site, findMasumi.org.

The Web site offers background on the 21-year-old woman and details of the search for her body.

She was last seen on Pupukea Road on April 12 getting into a Termite and Pest Control company truck with a white male inside.

Supporters today once again asked anyone with information on the case to call Honolulu CrimeStoppers at 955-8300.
