Civilian receives HPD's highest honor today

Acting Honolulu Police Chief Paul Putzulu will present the HPD's Civilian Medal of Honor, the department's highest civilian award, to a member of the community at 7:45 a.m. this morning. The ceremony is being held in the second-floor courtyard at the Alapai headquarters. The Bronze Medal of Valor will also be presented to an officer and certificates of merits and letters of commendation will be awarded to six officers.

Putzulu will also announce the HPD's Employee of the Quarter and Unit of the Quarter.
