Fujikawa tees off early Thursday at Las Vegas event

Moanalua High School's Tadd Fujikawa, 16, will tee off at 5:20 a.m. Hawai'i time Thursday in the first round of the Frys.com Open in Las Vegas.

The tournament, which also features former Honolulu resident Parker McLachlin, is being played at TPC's Summerlin and Canyons courses.

Fujikawa will be playing at the Summerlin course. McLachlin will tee off at 9:40 a.m. Hawai'i time at the Canyons course.

It will be Fujikawa's fifth start since he turned pro in July, at age 16.

He has yet to make a cut, missing at the Reno-Tahoe Open (PGA), Jane Rogers Championship (Canadian Tour), Omega European Masters (European Tour) and Albertson's Boise Open (Nationwide), last month by three shots.
