Two East Honolulu groups have teamed up to host a community meeting on Building a Sustainable East Honolulu, 6-8:30 p.m. Oct. 17 in the Koko Head Elementary School cafeteria, 289 Lunalilo Home Road.

The discussion is sponsored by Malama Maunalua and Livable Hawai'i Kai Hui. The meeting will discuss the status of the city's East Honolulu Sustainable Communities Plan, which is under review by the city.

The plan is the blueprint for building and growth in the community.
