Kumu's 'Ala Wai' comedy moves to Maui Oct. 18-19

"Ala Wai," a Kumu Kahua production staged earlier in the theater group's Downtown facility, will be performed at 7:30 pm. Oct. 18-19 at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center's McCoy Studio Theatre in Kahului.

The comedy, with environmental issues, is by Bryan Hiroshi Wake, and deals with two roommates who find themselves jobless and homeless. It is being staged as part of MACC's Local Voices-Talkstory Series.

BullDog directs a cast that includes Jarod Bailon, Daryl Bonilla, Eddie Gudoy, Ron Encarnacion, Denise Aiko Chinen, D. Tafai Silipa and Eve Yeung.

Tickets are $10 ($5 children 12 and younger).
