ESPN football telecast to air UH-Manoa student video

A video production put together by the University of Hawai'i at Manoa's Academy for Creative Media will share the national spotlight with the UH football team during tomorrow's ESPN broadcast of the game against San Jose State.The ESPN broadcast will include the airing of a 30-second video showcasing UH Manoa. The video was produced by a team of Academy for Creative Media students commissioned by the Manoa chancellor, according to a UH news release.
The spot entitled "Discover Your Life" highlights learning opportunities for students at the Manoa campus. It includes shots of the marine lab at Coconut Island, a research lab at the John A. Burns School of Medicine, dance students at Kennedy Theatre, study abroad students in Hong Kong, working in a lo'i, playing volleyball, and graduation ceremonies.
Students involved in the project were: Issac Warsh (director); Joshua Abel; Art Haring; Jacob Holcomb; Jamie McGihon; and Danielle Vivarttas-Ahrnsbrak. The team was assisted by Academy for Creative Media faculty and staff: Anne Misawa, assistant professor; Gregg Ambrosius, Academy for Creative Media production manager; and Tom Brislin, Academy for Creative Media chair.
It will be used as a promotional video for the UH Manoa campus in public service announcements, student recruitment, and educational events.
