Sandplay therapist to lecture at Unitarian Church

Rina Porat, a psychologist and member of the International Society of Sandplay Therapists, will lecture on the impact of external sociopolitical events on the human psyche through images created during sandplay, a nonverbal form of psychotherapy.
The two-hour event will be 7 p.m. Nov. 9 at the Unitarian Church, 2500 Pali Highway.
Porat will present pictures of sandplay scenes that reflect inner representations of peace and war as well as psychic images of terrorism that will reveal human processes of growth and healing.
