Makino to lead Honpa Hongwanji's Ho-on-ko

The Higashi Hongwanji Mission of Hawaii holds its annual memorial service, Ho-on-ko, for founder Shinran on Oct. 27-28.
Ho-on-ko is established to give thanks to Shinran for teaching Jodo Shinshu.
The Rev. Shigenori Makino, former head minister of Honpa Hongwanji Hawaii Betsuin, will give a lecture on Oct. 27, followed by discussion and small-group discussions.
