Kona police officer's efforts earn him monthly honor

The Kona Crime Prevention Committee recognized Detective Scott Kurishige as "Officer of the Month" for October.Kurishige was recognized for his efforts in recovering stolen firearms and other property from a rash of residential and commercial burglaries in the South Kona area.
