Applications accepted for City Lights displays

Advertiser Staff

The Neighborhood Commission Office will accept applications by Oct. 24 from nonprofit organizations that want to create a display during Honolulu City Lights.

Permits will be issued for five display sites through a lottery scheduled for 10 a.m. Nov. 1 in the mayor's conference room, located on the third floor of 550 S. King St.

Applicants do not need to attend the lottery but have to provide proof that they meet non-profit criteria as outlined by HRS Chapter 415B or are a charitable organization formed pursuant to HRS Chapter 467B or under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue code.

For more information, contact Joan Manke in the Neighborhood Commission Office at 527-5759.
