Recyclables accepted today at Kaimuki High

The 4th Annual Community Clean-Up will be held at the Kaimuki High School parking lot this morning from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for people who want to bring recyclables, including green waste and car batteries.

Other recyclables include scrap metal, auto parts, newspaper, cardboard, plastic, glass and aluminum beverage containers, used clothes and household items, tires, cell phones, computers, used cooking oil and confidential documents that can be shredded.

Proceeds will benefit Kaimuki High School, Kapahulu Community Center and the Mo'ili'ili Community Center.

Congressman Neil Abercrombie, City Councilmember Ann Kobayashi and several state senators and representatives will be on hand.
