The FACE of Nu'uanu fashion shows Saturday offered nearly 30 up-and-coming fashion designers an opportunity to show their work to an appreciative Chinatown crowd. Participants ranged in experience from those with extreme sewing skills and degrees in fashion to those who deconstructed vintage garments and pinned them back together.

New York designer Michael Kaye also presented his Island-inspired evening gown collection during the event.
