Vets young, old will be in stride

The Hilo Veterans Day Parade on Nov. 10 will include veterans from conflicts ranging from World War II to Afghanistan and the Iraq war in a march along Kilauea Avenue and Waianuenue Avenue downtown.

Bands will include the Hilo High School Band, El Lobo Del Mar Bagpipers and the U.S. Navy Band. The parade Grand Marshal will be retired Vice Admiral Robert Kihune.

The parade begins at 10:30 a.m., and will be followed by a celebration from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. that will include food booths and entertainment by the Honoka'a High School Jazz Band and Ernie Cruz.
