Pumpkin Patch Festival at farm

Aloun Farms' annual Pumpkin Patch Festival takes place this weekend and next at the farm between 'Ewa and Kapolei.

This Saturday and Sunday, as well as Oct. 27-28, visitors can enjoy food, hayrides, jumpers and "the Flyin' Hawaiian Pumpkin Slingshot" at the farm at 91-1440 Farrington Highway. Children will also get a chance to pick pumpkins available for purchase.

Parking is $3. Proceeds go to the Campbell High School agriculture program.

The first 300 people each day to donate canned goods to the Hawaii Food Bank will get a free mini-flat pumpkin.

Educational tours are also available weekdays this month. Call 677-9516.
